Historical fiction

Eleven years of my publishing career have been devoted to researching, developing, and editing resources for the study of history. I hold a First Class Honours BA in History and an MA with Distinction in Eighteenth Century Studies.

My academic and professional careers have given me an in-depth knowledge of a broad range of historical themes, places, and times: from the French Revolution to life in the Soviet Union; late imperial China to the Harlem Renaissance; seafaring in the Age of Sail to espionage in World War II; the history of sport to the history of food, to name but a very few.

I have the knowledge and research skills to identify inaccuracies and anachronisms, and I have a feel for period authenticity grounded in educational and professional experience.
